Relax While Eating

One of the easiest and most enjoyable ways to improve your digestion is to simply relax while eating. Take time to really enjoy your food. Make note of the taste, the smell, the texture. Enjoy the company of the people you are eating with. Chew your food a few extra times before swallowing.

Whenever you are under stress, digestion is put on the back burner. The body considers digestion a low priority under a stressful situation.

Try this simple tip: If you are feeling stressed when it’s time to eat, close your eyes, give thanks for the food and take a few deep breathes. This will help your body and mind to relax and may help the digestive process work better.
