Mozart Effect

Saturday, June 30th, 2007

Over the last couple of days, I’ve been listening to the audio book, “The Mozart Effect”, by Don Campbell. I’ve learned some amazing things about how music (especially Mozart) can promote healing in the body, improve mood, memory, concentration and provide other beneficial effects.

I typically like to put on some good upbeat music when I exercise. It seems to motivate me to workout with a bit more intensity and for a longer period of time.  It makes it more fun too!

The doctor said to me, “What I’m about to tell you, you won’t hear from any of the other doctors, and you can’t tell them what I’m about to tell you…”

Many people ask me how I got started in natural health. Actually I almost died at one point due primarily to living the standard American lifestyle. Check out this 6-min video for the whole scoop.

Colon Stories

Friday, June 22nd, 2007

I can tell you stories about people who got their colon clean, and started to have regular bowel movements, and it changed their life! Not only did they feel better, but they started to lose weight and their entire outlook on life began to change.

Why?  - When the body is full of toxins, pH is low, bowel is slow, misery of the worst kind sets in, and the body is in danger of colon cancer.

Cleansed, nourished, and balanced, the colon can absorb nutrients, remove toxins, promote good health, and prevent colon cancer.

I gotta tell ya, if you sit down and your stomach falls out on your knees, you have colon problems If your stomach hangs over your belt, you have colon problems. If you have less than 2 bowel movements per day you have colon problems. If you go a whole day without a bowel movement you have serious colon problems are you are setting yourself up for a chronic condition, possibly colon cancer. Take care of your colon - your colon will take care of you!

Improved Health is worth the effort!

Medical Science confirms “Probiotics work” !!!

Probiotics and Soil Based Organisms are the good Flora and Bacteria that the body needs.

How important are Probiotics and Soil Based Organisms?

Check out this quote from Dr Grange PhD:

“By cleaning and realigning the intestinal tract, what can we hope to gain? Medical experts, such as Medical Biochemist Peter R. Rothschild, tell us that adequate levels of Soil Based Organisms in the intestinal tract directly help us overcome the following conditions: chronic fatigue; rashes and other skin conditions; Allergies; Poor immune response to common illnesses; Poor immune response to chronic degenerative disease conditions; Osteoporosis; Diarrhea; Constipation; Bloating and intestinal gas; Bladder and vaginal infections; Severe or easy bruising; High cholesterol levels; Vitamin “D” and Iron deficiency; Anemia; Sensitivity to dairy products; Candida infection; Hormone imbalance and Low Sex Hormone problems; Prostate problems; Menstrual problems and PMS symptoms and chronic bad breath.

These same medical experts report that patients ingesting Soil Based Organisms on a regular basis have reported significant relief from lymphocytic lymphoma, lung carcinoma, multiple sclerosis, Addison’s disease, adrenal leukodystrophy, multiple types of allergies, prostate carcinoma, skin melanoma, rheumatoid arthritis, diabetes mellitus, chronic lymphocytic leukemia, systemic Lupus erythematosis and Crohn’s disease. Some other exciting findings about how SBOs can contribute to a healthy internal environment include the fact that SBOs encourage cell growth and repair and restore homeostatic cell functions by producing extra RNA and DNA. DNA in cells carry instructions for activating a self-repair response”

End of quote.

Does this mean that ingesting Pro biotics and Soil Based organisms will improve health?

I personally believe it to be true - with results I have seen in the lives of friends and Family.

Probiotics and Allergy

Tuesday, June 19th, 2007

For Years, those of us in  Natural health, have been preaching the importance of supplementing with enzymes and probiotics for good colon health - here is a recent scientific report that seems very interesting-

Probiotics for Allergies?

Live probiotic, “Lactobacillus reuteri, taken orally may help alleviate allergic asthmatic response say

Researchers from McMaster University and St Josephs Healthcare ( Am J Respir Crit Care Med 2007).

The study investigated the allergen response in mice after taking two probiotic orally, L. reuteri and L.Salivarius.

The body’s immune responses were” improved” in the respiratory airway and lungs, as L.reutueri (but not L.salvarius) ” probiotic affected inflammation.”

Internal Plumbing

Monday, June 18th, 2007
Cleaning out the toxic debris in your colon may cause several positive things to happen in your life.
  • A dramatic increase in energy, you would be amazed at what getting the toxic sludge out of your body will do.
  • Improvement of mood, many have gone from grouchy irritable and depressed to happy and pleasant.
  • Digestion runs smoother. You will be better able to digest and absorb nutrients from the food you eat.
  • Sharper mental clarity. Many people with colon problems also suffer from “leaky gut syndrome”. Toxins and under-digested nutrients enter the bloodstream. This has a profound negative effect on our mental function.
  • Increasing fiber in your diet and supplementing with mulit-strain probiotics can help begin the proccess of improving your interal plumbing.

    Digestion and Drinking

    Wednesday, June 13th, 2007

Consider taking your meals without Ice cold liquids. Our European friends teach us that the less liquid consumed with a meal the better the digestion.

Drinking ice cold liquids tend to shock the digestive system and dilutes the  function of digestive enzymes and stomach acid.

And may contribute to heart burn and acid reflux.

Would be much better to sip just a little water with a meal.

Meals that are eaten slowly and thoroughly chewed will digest completely , and you will enjoy the meal!!

Enjoy plenty of pure water between meals.

    Tuesday, June 12th, 2007

The next few tips will deal with some common herbs you might have right in your kitchen. Today we’ll take a look at Ginger. Ginger root has been traditionally used to support the digestive system. It may help promote digestive secretions, which in turn can help with the digestion of food, absorption of nutrients and help combat indigestion. Ginger is famous for helping with nausea.

Ginger can be used on salads, in cooking or made into a tea. Ginger capsules are also available.

Ginger has been used in Chinese medicine for thousands of years.

    Digestion Helpers - Peppermint Oil

    Tuesday, June 12th, 2007

I always carry around a small bottle of peppermint essential oil in my pocket. After every meal I pull out my peppermint bottle and shake a couple of drops on my tongue. I have noticed a definite improvement in my digestion. Rarely do I go anywhere without my Peppermint. I find it especially helpful after eating restaurant food.

For several hundred years herbalists have used peppermint  in many of the same ways that herbalists in ancient Egypt and China used other types of mints. Mainly, as a digestive remedy to treat heartburn, diarrhea, flatulence, and intestinal cramps. Peppermint tea has become a popular remedy for nausea and vomiting due to morning sickness. The tea has also become popular for promoting liver and gallbladder function.
